The Thousand Year Calendar for Feng Shui and Destiny.
Day #332 of #365 Days of Feng Shui
Facts, Stats, Quotes and Inspiration
This is ‘The Thousand Year Calendar for Feng Shui and Destiny.’
It’s what I use when determining the energy for the year, month and day. Used especially for Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui.
If you look closely you will see tomorrows date 1/1 and next to it are another two boxes with the Chinese symbols Yin Fire and Earth Ox.
But the boxes are white.
Then if you scroll your sight to the 2/4 (4th Feb) you will see the symbols for Yin Metal and Water. Though the box these symbols are in are black.
These black boxes are very significant as it denotes a change in energy from month to month and year by year.
And indicates that this is the start of the Chinese Solar Year Calendar.
In Chinese 5 Element Theory it is believed that energy goes in cycles. These cycles are very specific in their energy and characteristics and how they affect you and your space.
In fact the change in energy can be brought down to the minute, the energy is that specific.
So according to Feng Shui consultants and Chinese Astrologers the 4th of February (for 2015) is the start of the new year.
The Chinese community also celebrates the Lunar Chinese New Year which most people would recognise (which is on the 19th this year).
I find the dynamics between the Gregorian Calendar (western) and the Chinese Solar Calendar celebrations can be used to our advantage and seem to be a perfect fit for many ‘starts’ or beginnings and endings.
Don’t you find that February really is when your routine sets into play and that those (western) New Years resolutions don’t really stick to February?
And how hard is it to declutter your space before New Year? It’s a great thing to get stuck into after the Christmas and New Years celebrations for this is when your energy starts to really sit well into the new energy.
So the weeks leading up to the 4th of February is a great time to declutter your space, for you to get ready for the new energy of the year to kick in. And then once it has kicked in you will already be getting yourself into your regular routine to be able to stick to any resolutions you have made.
So you can still relax, have fun and go with the flow during Christmas and New Year celebrations without the guilt and the ‘have-to’s’ you set for yourself.
Then get revved up for the year around February for the new energy to start!
But from me to you…. I wish you all the very best for any New Years, whenever you celebrate it!
