Night terrors are intense.
Night terrors can become a very regular night time occurrence.
And night terrors usually start in childhood and can come and go into adulthood.
I have personally had a long history of night terrors that I can both class as a real physiological occurrence and also an energetic one. My night terrors usually consisted of seeing and being visited by spirits which would scare the pants off me, hence the screaming and terror.
But at times I also felt was in different dimensions or dreaming things that were scary. It was intrusive into my safe space and as a child, I didn’t know how to deal with it or process what I was seeing.
Sometimes I would vividly remember and see everything, and other times I would wake up being told I had a night terror last night, which I didn’t have any recall of.
Mine went into adulthood, where my energetic boundaries were regularly compromised with spirit visitation. And depending on where I lived, what I ate and the Feng Shui of a space, seemed to determined the frequency and whether they were scary or just wanting help.
Night terrors disrupt sleep and can increase anxiety and living with both of these longterm should not be something you have to just live with. And this is not healthy for kids. Especially, as they should feel safe when at their most vulnerable, which is when they are asleep.
Over the years I’ve assisted many parents with helping their children reduce or clear their night terrors. And I’ve found that it requires a layered solution. Working with one aspect alone may not be enough, but when you combine a few different modalities and practical steps, I’ve found they can stop.
Though, every circumstance will be different and will be personal to you and your child. But here are a list of common things that I’ve found in most cases.
Food Sensitivities
I’ve found foods can trigger night terrors for those people with sensitivities to certain foods. Especially gluten. One of the first things I ask parents to do is to reduce or stop gluten in the diet of their child. Gluten has a huge impact on how the brain functions and simply reducing or eliminating it can reduce night terrors fairly quickly. Obviously, Im not a doctor or naturopath so please consult a qualified practitioner or dietician if you need support in this area. Though I know myself, this definitely is a trigger.
Fear
Obviously with the title of ‘Night Terrors’ fear is the overriding emotion. I know with my personal experience the ‘spirits’ in my room were so real and their presence were so strong, that I would wake up thinking an actual real person had broken into our house and was standing in my room. I could see them even with my eyes open and sometimes they wouldn’t leave until the light was turned on.
This fear is very real. And there can be a number of different reasons why your child maybe feeling fearful in their awake world, which may cross over into their astral or sleep world. Talking about their fears and having healthy communication with them can help dispel their fear and dissipate it’s power over them. Understanding what their fears are and working with that, can allow them to take more control over their emotions and work through how to manage or address their fears.
Declutter their room
Clutter can easily trigger nightmares, restless sleep and night terrors. Depending on the ‘Feng Shui Flying Stars’ (meaning specific energy that’s is calculated for your home) that they are sleeping in, any challenging stars that may be present in their room can become more challenging. Even ‘neutral’ stars can become challenging with any clutter.
Especially making sure that under their bed is clear of any storage or clutter, as this can contribute to restless sleep and congestion in their physical bodies.
Mirrors
Cover or remove any and all mirrors in their room. Mirrors have the ability to disrupt sleep and can become portals, allowing spirits to enter easily in and out of their room. I know it sounds quite ‘out there’ but believe me, I’ve cleared many mirrors because of this. And there have been many mirrors that have created this issue in children rooms I worked with.
Removing or covering mirrors will eliminate this from being a problem.
Space Clearing
This can be a super powerful tool for your child. I usually recommend the parent to include or get their child to clear the room themselves. This places the power directly in their hands.
When children are guided and supported to clear their own room it helps to create a sense of control over their environment, and empowers them to declare it as their own space.
Space clearing not only clears unwanted or old energy but also builds a fresh and positive space. It allows you to consciously create boundaries both energetically and psychologically. And helps your child to stamp their own energy, imprint and power into their space.
When or if your child is dealing with fears or spirits, then the act of taking their fear in their own hands and telling them the ‘bad stuff’ or scary things to go away and are given tools like shakers, bells, singing bowls, sage, or anything that makes a clanging sound, can allow them to feel powerful. Even allocating something specific to ‘shake away the spooks’ and keep it in their room, can help trigger that sense of empowerment within their space.
Changing rooms or bed placement
Night terrors may also be made worse or triggered by geopathic stress or a certain ‘Flying Star’ combinations. You may want to experiment with your child’s room and move their bed or change rooms.
If there is geopathic stress and they are sleeping in that stress, it can create strong psychological stress and may in fact allow spirits to feed off this energy. If you notice that your child doesn’t get night terrors when they are away from home or on holiday, but they reoccur when they return to their room. This is usually a really good indication that the problem specifically lies within the home or their room itself. Therefore, experimenting by changing where their bed is situated in their room or changing rooms, may help as they may no longer be sleeping in geopathic stress.
Reducing Fearful Media
Reducing images and TV shows that may create fear in your child is best to avoid. This can create emotional triggers for your child and by ensuring that your child isn’t exposed to graphic or intentional scary imagery or stories, can help stop triggering them and their fears. Especially before bedtime!
Personal Approach
If you try all of these tips and your child still has night terrors, they may need a more personal approach. Depending on what’s occurring for your child, they may need personal clearing or their room or home cleared or sometimes, both.
I’ve worked with many clients in a few different ways. I’ve created personally prescribed Australian Bushflower essence room sprays and also done Distant Healings for children and their rooms. These can be super powerful combinations and stop night terrors in there tracks. Some parents feel the night terrors comes from past-life experiences, different dimensions access or lower astral planes. Some feel these occurrences are patterns of behaviour surfacing as night terrors and some feel their child can see spirits and ghosts. All of these are relevant and could be occurring, though what’s most important is to address the occurrences and clear whatever it is that is causing these night terrors. And this is how Distant Healings work best.
There may also be geopathic stress that is affecting your home which can be addressed by a Geomancy audit and you can ensure they are sleeping in supportive Flying Stars by getting a Feng Shui audit done.
The Geomancy audit and Feng Shui consult does not only benefit your child but the whole household.
I hope your child is able to rest and restore soon. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or message me via facebook >>
