How Feng Shui helped sell a house for record price!

Kay lived in a heritage listed cottage in the middle of Sydney’s busy and hip Inner West, with her husband and two young children.

They bought their home and moved in 10 years ago; whilst their eldest was just over 12months old.

Both Kay and her husband run their own businesses. Kay’s an energetic healing practitioner and sees clients in her healing room at home, whilst her husband’s business is on another site, outside of the home.

"Firstly, I have to thank Renée for doing my Feng shui as I truly believe it was the reason we did so well in the sale of our house.

Renée had been trying to get me to feng shui the house for a few years as things were not flowing for us in business and also I wasn’t feeling great living in the house, I never felt like it was home." Kay Andrews

Here’s where the story unfolds for how the home was reflecting their patterns and how they have found it difficult to move forward whilst living in this house.

During the time they lived here, there were ongoing extended family cdiningareahallenges in regards to a family business, money and inheritances. This emotionally and financially hurt Kay and her husband and created unwanted drama in their lives.

Kay’s husband also worked very long hours to ensure his current business was functioning and able to bring in the main income for the family. He worked week days and most weekends, leaving the house early and arriving home late at night.

This created a situation where Kay slept in the master bedroom and her husband mostly slept on the couch, due to these long hours. It also increased stress for Kay as she juggled family life on her own for most of the time.

As time went on in the home, Kay and her husband acquired debt due to business challenges and external family dramas. They juggled their finances when the money flowed in, in large sums, until the next influx arrived. Though this flow was not always continuous and led to times when there was a build up of debts. This then negatively impacted home life and magnified stress. And when the money did come in, it went to paying off debts and living expenses. And this became a vicious cycle.

What’s more, Kay felt the constant pressure of this, as she was usually the person that managed the money and communication with the banks etc.

Not only this, but Kay and her husband experienced health challenges whilst living in this home.

When Kay and her husband first bought this house they had with them their first child. He was born after many years of difficulties trying to conceive naturally and they eventually opted for an egg donor and for Kay to carry their baby. They then had their 2nd child at this home using the same process due to the same fertility challenges with their first. They were gifted with two healthy, happy children after many years of struggle.

kaysbedroomOver the years Kay balanced many emotional, mental and physical challenges with alternative therapies. This became a constant choice for Kay to address and work on her health continually. This is positive, of course, and has assisted Kay with evolving her skills and strength for the work that she does with her clients.

Even so, most of the time Kay and her husband felt tired from the constant long hours of work and stress of managing their family and finances. Not only that, but Kay always struggled with restless sleep which compounded this feeling.

Recently, Kay and her husband decided to sell this home and move to the Northern Beaches.

Kay felt this was a much needed change and would help them all to have a different outlook on life, create a lighter and better environment for their children and would give them space to breathe.

So, Kay decided to use Feng Shui to help sell their home and we started working together.

Looking at the home itself, its floor plan and calculating it’s Flying Star chart the home started to tell me the story of Kay and her family.

As your house is a reflection of you.

"When Renée looked at the house plans and found the Flying Stars that were affecting our finances and health I was blown away. We could never make money in our business even though we had all the right ingredients to do so, we were stuck. Also I would wake up every morning feeling very heavy and not that well in my body."  Kay Andrews

The front of this home looked very much like a miners cottage and was the oldest home I’ve had the pleasure to work with, being built in 1895.

However, repairs were needed to the veranda timber decking, as they were rotting. The fence palings needed replacing and fixing, the frontage was weathered and worn and the corrugated roof was beginning to rust and was looking old and tired. This was a direct reflection of the tiredness and exhaustion both Kay and her husband had been feeling.

Though, inside, the home was updated, painted white and felt fresh and modern. I found this to reflect both Kay and her husbands true desires of their ideal life.

Once I completed the home’s Flying Star chart it was glaringly obvious why Kay and her husband had so much financial problems since living here, it also told a definite story about why Kay found it so difficult to maintain a happy balance with her health and emotions for extended periods of time.

The energetics of their home spoke so much of the challenges her and her husband had faced whilst living here.flyingstars

Not only did the wear and tear of the front of the home spoke of how tired both Kay and her husband felt as they tried to maintain their balance between health, abundance and their work/life balance. But the energy coming in their front door was a huge red flag to their challenges with finances.

The energy at any main entrance of any building is one of the biggest indicators of your finances. It tells a story of what you draw or attract into your home, biz and life.

After calculating the Flying Stars (energy) for Kay’s home and reading what the energies were being attracted Kay’s front door, to put it bluntly, we discovered it had one of the worst combinations! As it indicated a high potential for bankruptcy and sickness and that the Feng Shui of their building did not support their ability to make money. More specifically, it increased the risk of attracting bad debts or becoming bankrupt. This was disastrous for both their businesses. Not only that, but most people living in a building like this, tend to find they go backwards financially.

And as if that wasn’t enough…

This home also had an Imprisoned Noble AND a missing sector in their wealth areas.

What does that mean?

An Imprisoned Noble is when the True Wealth sector ((or Divine Water Dragon) this is the area of the home or building which can be activated to increase abundance and wealth) of the house is trapped in the middle of a building. (it’s trapped when the Divine Water Dragon falls in the middle sector or Tai Ji with no ability of escaping) When this occurs, it indicates that all your well earned money goes into bills, investments or you are unable to access it due to payment plans or other investment properties etc. And so it becomes difficult to access your money.

Missing sectors occur when a home’s floor plan doesn’t fill a chart completely, leaving gaps e.g. an L-shaped home would have a large missing sector because it isn’t square. When missing sectors occur, it means whatever the energy of that sector represents, will not be supported as the Qi is not contained within the building.

Kay’s whole sector which supported ‘success and promotion’ and was the 2nd best energy to help generate wealth in the building; was completely missing! Along with part of her True Wealth sector. This meant that her money and success with accumulating any finances wasn’t supported or had the ability to create a container for it.

And as if that wasn’t enough…. the front and back doors aligned, meaning, as you opened the front door you can see right down the back of the house to the back door. What happens when this occurs, is that the energy moves straight in and then straight out of the house again. Making it difficult to contain any energy to nurture a space, which includes finances and abundance.

This home had so many elements not conducive to containing or attracting finances reflecting the difficulties Kay and her husband had.

It also meant that if this wasn’t addressed within the Feng Shui of the building, it would be very difficult to maintain any sense of financial freedom at all whilst living here.

Kay’s bedroom also told a definite story about her health.

Unfortunately, Kay was sleeping in some very challenging sickness Flying Stars or energies.

You see, the energetic patterns of a bedroom indicate the health and/or relationships of the persons sleeping there. And the Flying Stars present in a bedroom, indicates in much detail, how this energy is impacting or manifesting for the client.

For Kay, she was sleeping in a space that did not support good health and increased the risk of insomnia, digestive and/or gynaecological problems. And also may have been adversely affecting her relationship. The energy here also implied that she may be personally impacted by slander, gossip, fire, theft or being accident prone.

Not only were there challenging Flying Stars here but Kay also positioned her bed against the wall where the house’s main meter box was located, placing her directly in high Electromagnetic Frequency (EMF’s) for long and extended of time, which may directly impact physical health.

And to top it off, Kay was sleeping with her feet in alignment with the bedroom door. This is called the Death Position in Feng Shui. It doesn’t mean that if you sleep here you will die, of course, though indicates that your energy will feel drained and you may also find you are targeted energetically or by others.

So, Kay had 3 main unsupportive and unhealthy key problems sleeping in this area which could have been negatively contributing to her prior fertility challenges and ability to conceive naturally. It would have also negatively contributed to her sleep, mental and emotional health, the relationship with her husband and the feeling that she constantly had to ‘work’ on her health.

Kay saw a variety of practitioners to maintain her health, which was great because she was proactive about it and with having a healthy mindset. Though continually sleeping in high EMF’s and sickness stars, Kay found it difficult to maintain any equilibrium for any extended period of time. Especially as she was returning to sleep in this energy, night after night, for past 10 years.

Kay’s husband, who would sleep in the living room frequently, also accessed energy that wasn’t supportive to his health or relationships as well. More specifically it increased the rate of conflict and arguments and/or legal issues which reflected a lot with the challenges he had with his extended family and business with them.

There were many challenging factors to the energetics of this house and certainly was reflected with what Kay and her husband experienced with the challenges they had over the years, living here.

Though, there were a few positives with this home!

The main positive was that the children were sleeping in healthy and supportive Flying Stars and weren’t contending with any heavy EMF’s in the place that they slept. In fact, this was the ideal area to have a bedroom in order to promote a restful sleep. And where they slept, implied success and promotion, which was reflected in their good health, friends and school.

After compiling a report for this home, it was time to remedy the challenging energy and enhance the good in this home.

I suggested specific things that needed to be remedied to neutralise the sickness and bankruptcy energy coming in the front door. This was to firstly address the finances coming into the house, so there would be a healthier mindset and energy coming in around their money circumstances, plus help with the boosting of the value of their property when it came to sale.

The funny thing with Feng Shui, from a consultant point of view, is that resistance comes up for the client quite regularly. And this case was no different.

Sometimes the solution to a challenge is something quite easy but may seem unusual, like a salt water cure. As this particular cure needed to neutralise the challenging energy at the front door, Kay seemed resistant to have in the entrance where it needed to be.

After some questions such as, ‘can we put it under the veranda?’, or ‘there is no where to put it’, or ‘my husband wont let me put it there’, to ‘the buyers may think it’s weird and not want to buy the house.’

[Side Note: A potential buyer will NOT, NOT buy a house because of an ornament you have on display! If they love the house, if it’s an energetic fit and you have done your Feng Shui, they will buy the house because they love it and not allow an ornament to distract them from buying! I’m emphasising this because this comes up as a regular question and resistance with clients selling their home.]

When you start to remedy your home, what is occurring energetically, is that you are balancing the energy of the whole home, which means that the challenging patterns that you have in your life will be lessened and that it will make it easier for you to address them. This pattern can be very engrained especially when the occupants have lived within pattern for 10 years.

Also and most importantly, these same patterns reside within you, as the home is just an extended physical manifestation of you and your patterns. So changing these within a home can become a challenge within itself and bring up a lot of resistance for the occupants.IMG_1623 copy

After some reassurance and mentioning that this was resistance coming up for Kay, she eventually organised for the remedy to have its own place right near the front door. She did such a great job of displaying it, that it became a gorgeous feature. (this is the glass jar near the singing bowl in pic)

Kay also addressed the missing success and  promotion sector and neutralised the sickness star in her bedroom. She mentioned that as soon as she addressed the energy in her bedroom she slept through the night for the first time in years.

There were also a few other enhancers and remedies that Kay implemented which helped with the overall balance of her home.

So, after we placed all the cures in the house, that’s when the energy shifted. The first night I remember having the best sleep I had in years, no coincidences there. Placing the cures not just changed the energy but changed my mindset as I felt that things were going to be different now and when we believe in something strongly we can also create and manifest. It was like I had been to have a healing session and now everything was in the flow." Kay Andrews

But, the best result, after much hard work by her and her husband, their house sold for a record price for their area!

The auction went off without a hitch and all contracts went through smoothly and easily.

"So leading up to the Auction we did a quick renovation and tidy up, not really that much work to the house. As you can see the cottage we sold was very old and run down at the front, people were expecting us to get around $1.8 million and I felt with all the energy work Renee did that we would get the price we wanted which was $2.1 to $2.2 million. I felt like the gods were on our side with this. The day of the Auction came and a large group of people arrived, it was buzzing, must have been around 100 people in our house and everyone was anxious about the sale as prices had dropped a little in the last 3 months in the area.

To everyones surprise the house sold for $2.1 million and it was like off a TV show, everyone went wild with excitement. We couldn’t believe how blessed we were but deep down I knew and felt it was exactly what we deserved.

The time and love Renée put into this job was incredible, she was not only doing her job but she put her heart and soul into it, making sure I was being divinely looked after. We were both very excited and please with ourselves with the end result.

Everyone commented on the energy of the house and how good it felt when you walked in, even though the house was still needing more work it didn’t seem to matter. People fell in love with our old cottage.

And by the way it was a record price for Zetland.

Now I know what Feng Shui can do not only for your house but for your whole family I plan on using Renée to Feng Shui every house I live in. When we decide to build in a year or two I will have the plans checked over by Renée before we settle on them, this way my new house will be perfectly aligned energetically from day one.

Thanks again Renée for your love and commitment to the end result, this was a life changing experience.

Love and light"cKay
