Self Sabotage with Feng Shui
Day 179 of #365 Days of Feng Shui
‘Hey, you know that dance class you want to go to that will make you feel so gooood and sooooo alive. It starts this Thursday night!’ says your own inspirational thoughts and feelings.
But then your self sabotage pipes up,
‘I can’t afford that, it’s waaaay too much for a few classes’
‘I can’t dance and everyone will look at me and laugh.’
‘I’m too old, too fat, too uncoordinated, too shy, too……’
Self sabotage can even have you in bed with the flu on the night your meant to start your dance class, or your car breaks down or someone else tries to talk you out of going.
Self sabotage can kick in when you feel overwhelmed or daunted by stepping up and out of your comfort zone.
And when you self sabotage, you do things in order NOT to face better circumstances for yourself.
It’s an avoidance response towards doing something that you know will help you live a better life.
People not only self sabotage by not going to dance classes, drinking that coffee that they know will give them stomach cramps or getting sick before a life changing trip overseas …..but they also do this within their homes.
Your home or biz floorplan can actually indicate to me what your sabotages are. As well as how you can rectify them or balance them out.
You can also self sabotage by simply walking around your clutter and ignoring it which will eventually slow you down. Or maybe you have not painted the wall that is peeling and knowing it makes you feel blah every time you look at it. And maybe you continue to use a dis-functional door even though you know it doesn’t feel right to enter your home this way.
Including not completing suggested Feng Shui recommendations even though you know it will help improve your relationship, health and create abundance.
This is me at the moment by the way, I have all the tools in my belt to create a harmonious home but for some reason I have halted. I know I should really sort out my front entrance way, place some remedies and do a geomancy audit. But I actually don’t like this house (my stuff) and so I am self sabotaging.
So this weekend I’m going to paint my pots red, provide some TLC to our main entrance and sort out our challenging energy.
