Day #154 (Sacred Space)
Quan Yin (or sometimes spelt Kwan Yin)
Quan Yin is a very special and powerful spiritual icon.
I personally ask for assistance from Quan Yin for many of my healing adventures. And I have been fortunate enough to have her personally ‘visit’ on occasions which was deeply moving and powerful.
Quan Yin in Western spiritual terms is considered an Ascended Master. Before her ascension Quan Yin was eligible for Buddha hood those chose to stay in spirit close to the earth in order to assist with healing.
In many Asian countries Quan Yin is considered the Goddess of Compassion and Forgiveness or Mercy.
I personally feel that she also helps with the strengthening of feminine power and assists women to ‘come into their own’ without judgement or stereotyping. She is a true feminist, kind and gentle.
She can also be likened to an Asian version of Mother Mary or a female version of Buddha.
You are able to call upon Quan Yin for any healing or support you feel you need. It is said she will assist at a moments call.
When I have felt her presence she appears so very big, huge. The energy is massive and her love and compassion brings tears of overwhelming love.
The energy is like a mother’s love for her children and she is said to help on this earthly plane until all humans are enlightened.
Can you tell I’m a bit of a fan of hers?
Quan Yin has been used in Feng Shui for many hundreds of years as a ‘cure’ or ‘remedy’.
Placing her and honouring her energy is a very beautiful and personal experience.
Ensure she is placed in an honoured position in your home like your altar, near your front door or in a prominent place for you to see her regularly. Ensure she is not placed on the floor or in a cupboard and always on a tall shelf and within quiet atmosphere.
P.S. Please share it on your Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site just for the LOVE of it.
And please share in the comments box below because sharing feels good.
