Feng Shui’s Wood Element.
Day #210 of #365 Days of Feng Shui
Wood is my personal Self Element (Chinese Astrology) so I very much love this season and it supports my energy.
Wood teaches me how I can be more flexible, wise and connect between the worlds.
The Chinese 5 Element theory works with… well… the 5 Elements.
Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood.
They all work together; nourishing, supportive, responsive and reactive. Each has a relationship with the other. And this theory is the blueprint for everything… your health (TCM), your natal chart (Chinese Astrology), your space (Feng Shui) your personality, our years, months, days, hours and seasons.
Oh yes… Seasons.
And here in the Southern Hemisphere… we just hit Spring. Which is… yep you guessed it…. The Wood Element. Fancy that.
Wood punctures through the earth to bring forth new ideas, possibilities and new beginnings.
It reaches up to the sky to grab hold of inspiration or messages from the Gods (and Goddesses) It is the Tree of Life.
It teaches us to know that as above so below.
It can harness the energies from both the Earth and the heavens and bring them into the present.
The Wood Element has it’s energy rooted deep into the earth yet has the freedom to blossom up and out and create new regenerating life.
Wood is stable and flexible, useful and practical.
It governs the Gallbladder and Liver and helps you to detox your thoughts and substances and allows for smooth flow of Qi throughout your body and life.
If Wood becomes stuck or toxic she can become depressed and stagnant, rigid in her ideas and body. Like old dead Wood, brittle, stiff and can heat up quickly with anger and frustration.
Though when Wood is nurtured with Water and heat from the Sun (Fire) she thrives, blossoms and flourishes.
Wood is creative, optimistic, fresh and wakes up with a spring in her step.
Wood is able to harness the life force energy and produce, grow to move forward. Onward and upward.
