The hidden Feng Shui Powers of the humble coffee table!
Day #45 of #365 Days of Feng Shui
The coffee table seems like a practical necessity.
It holds your coffee cup, remote controls, glossy mags and may even display some living room bling.
But did you know your coffee table has special powers?
According to Feng Shui it is called the ‘Red Bird’ of the living room.
The coffee table contains the Power of Cohesion.
It helps to bring your family together, strangers feel more comfortable in it’s presence and it becomes a focus point of the room. Hence the Red Bird reference – people are drawn to it.
By simply placing a coffee table in between a sofa and chairs helps to create a space where people feel at ease. There is a buffer between people which establishes healthy boundaries and a place to share things. And also stimulates great conversation!
But more importantly … it helps people feel like they have something in common!
Yep, who would have thought, the humble coffee table could bring peace to the nations?
Or your family? – same same really.
One thing though that really needs to be addressed is how the chairs are arranged.
Imagine being seated directly face to face? Warring nations, right?
So don’t do that.
Below is the ideal way you can place your chairs around your peace lovin’ coffee table.
It helps to balance the energy and allows people to feel like they can contribute without feeling confronted.
So….Bring forth the power of the coffee table!
