Day #78 (Plants in Places)
Happy International Earth Day!
Let’s celebrate today by looking at the relationship plants have within your space and the health of the environment.
Plants are pretty cool, they have the ability to trap pollutants and absorb carbon dioxide. And this is not just on a grand scale, like how we need trees to survive; this includes your living and working spaces!
They are almost a must have in order to create a healthy space for you, your work colleagues and your family.
In fact, NASA has a full list of scientifically proven plants that help to trap and clean pollutants in your environment e.g. formaldehyde which is a carcinogen and can be found in many furnishings as a flame retardant.
The Peace Lily is one of the most common and well adaptive plants you can have in your home or business which can achieve this and one of my favourites.
Not only do plants help clean up your pollutants, they also help inject oxygen and energy and help balance the humidity. This means that they can lessen fatigue within a work space and increase productivity and health. And means less absenteeism and reduced stress.
There are more and more studies that are confirming that having plants in your environment helps with increasing your motivation and sense of happiness and optimism. And really what’s not to like about them!
From a spiritual or multi-dimensional perspective plants also connect you to the Nature Divas which can assist with your connection to the expansive Universe and Mother Nature and help with spiritual guidance and healing.
It doesn’t matter how well designed a space is, how beautiful the furnishings and surroundings are, for me, it’s not until I place some plants in my house or work environment do I feel it becomes a home and supportive space.
Is it time to bring some health into your home and business, Feng Shui Gal?
*correction Peace Lily removes benzene and trichloroethylene. Sorry didn’t have Internet to double check and going off memory. Still awesome x Spider plant and Mother in Laws tongue removes formaldehyde.
P.S. Please share it on your Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site just for the LOVE of it.
And please share in the comments box below because sharing feels good.
