Day #69 (Sacred Space and General)
Aromatherapy Oils can be used for a variety of purposes.
Within Feng Shui they are used for space clearing, creating a sacred space, enhancing aspects of self and cleaning your space.
They can also be used for healing purposes of the mind, body and spirit.
I also need to clarify here, that when I mention aromatherapy oils I’m not talking about fragrances – see Day #60.
Aromatherapy oils, also known as essential oils, are of therapeutic quality and are a direct extraction from plants and flowers. They act on the olfactory part of the brain when used as a vapour which links to your hormonal system and the limbic part of the brain which stimulates and supports the memory, creativity and inner knowing or intuition.
I love love love aromatherapy oils and have been using them for many many years.
One of my favourite things to do is create my own blend for the day and burn it in my oil burner.
Sometimes I make a blend for myself and what I feel I may need, other times I create one for the whole family and I always burn antibacterial oils if anyone is sick within the home.
I also use oils with my flower essences in a base oil to help shift stuck emotions, circumstances or move further into opening my awareness and connect to my sacredness. @sacredself by Michelle McGrath has created a collection of these types of blends to help moving through transitions and awakening our own sense of self love.
And I love blending them for a spray bottle with flower essences to spray around my space.
I will be highlighting a few of favourite Feng Shui oils in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
