Day #65 (General)
Mirror at your Main Entrance.
Placing a mirror directly in-line with your front door or main entrance is a big Feng Shui no no…
Mirrors multiply the energy AND also bounce the Qi around your space.
If you place your mirror opposite your front door or main entrance, (the most important place where you should be encouraging the Qi to enter) what do you think will happen?
The Qi bounces back out.
So the Qi you want to welcome into your home or business gets confused. And this can be within any room as well.
I can remember walking into my mum’s bedroom where she had a freestanding dresser mirror pointing directly at the door as you walked in. As soon as I stepped into the room I was confronted by a figure, yes my own reflection, but it made me stop and stand back for an instant.
My brain had to compute in that instant what was going on. Was there someone in the room? Was that me? And then all the old self patterning – that a lot of us have – of oh really geez that’s what I look like today? etc – I’m sure you get the picture.
So having a mirror in your prime Qi enticing place will not so much welcome in the energy but repel it.
Always place mirrors in a place that reflects Sheng Qi e.g. a beautiful view, a bookshelf full of books you love, a wall of family pictures etc. And not at your front door or in your bedroom (but more on that another time)
Happy Feng Shui-ing!
