Day #57 (General).
Yep that’s a toilet.
There’s been a common Feng Shui rule to always keep the lid to your toilet down to stop your money from going down the drain….
So let’s clear a few things up about this theory that isn’t completely true.
Firstly any challenges you have with money will be multi-layered. Within Feng Shui and within yourself. And as previously mentioned in other days, Qi loves water and therefore in any wet room the Qi will be drained no matter what you do – toilet seats down, plugs in sinks etc.
So having your true wealth sector (this is not the South East sector or far left corner) in a toilet will not be great, and having the lid up or down will not change that to much extent. You can try by closing the lid but unfortunately having any wealth sector in your toilet is not an auspicious thing.
Remembering that each home and building has its own unique energies, some may actually have challenging stars (think energy every time you see ‘star’) in the toilet. For example our toilet has a #2 water star which is a sickness star. It’s actually a great idea to allow that energy to be drained in this circumstance, so having it in the toilet is perfect and hey, let’s give it a hand with being drained by leaving the seat up.
In traditional Feng Shui and in ancient China, there was never any wet rooms inside the house at all which is great for the Qi and supporting energies within a home, but in our modern day living this is no longer the case.
So this theory of seat down won’t have a major impact on the overall energy in your space. But hey… I think it’s just a nice courteous thing to do
