Day #5 [General]
Feng Shui does not equal filling your space with Feng Shui trinkets and symbols!
To some people this is an important practice but you may find this off-putting.
I know when I started to become interested in Feng Shui I started buying all the ‘stuff’. Yep the money toad and the iChing coins for my wallet. But to me it felt like it was just surface stuff. That no matter how much of the ‘stuff’ I bought nothing really changed for my circumstances.
Everything is energy and if you place a lot of belief into an object then you will be creating that as a reality.
So for some people trinkets are a necessary part of Feng Shui.
When I go to someone’s home I may recommend a few cures for the building which may involve an I Ching coin or so, but these are very minimal and they are serving a purpose. They aren’t filling your space and jumping out at you like you have just brought souvenirs back from your travels.
If you have no connection to certain deities or symbols then they won’t create the energy you were hoping.
The purpose of your space is to allow you to be nurtured and for you to flourish and thrive in. If you place an object in the space that you dislike or every time you see it you have no idea why it is there. It is not serving it’s purpose. In fact it could be creating Sha Qi – challenging energy.
When you love your space, when you fill your space full of things that bring you joy, when you create a space that reflects the beauty within you, then you are creating a space that will nurture you and your energy.
P.S. If you want to let your other Feng Shui enthusiast friends then please feel free to share to your facebook page, twitter or other social media that you like. Thanks x
