Day #4 [Detox]
Feng Shui is not only about working with energies, which is kinda magical and mystical and a bit mathematical as well.
But Feng Shui is also about creating an environment which is healthy for you and your family.
Did you know, according to HealthyChild.org, babies are now born with over 200 chemicals in their tiny bodies?
And David Suzuki states that everyday a child consumes the same amount of chemicals as smoking 3 cigarettes a day!
That’s really scary.
We are saturating our homes and businesses with chemicals.
Some of the chemicals being used are blatantly obvious like using bleach to clean your bathroom. But have you ever considered what the accumulative effect of all the chemicals you’re exposed to, is having on you?
Some are hidden in our tins of tomatoes, toothpastes, rugs and sofas, to the mattresses we sleep on every night. Some are carcinogenic, some eye, lung and skin irritants and others hormone distrupters. These are just some of the side effects of using chemicals within your environment.
And this topic is a biggy.
Way too big and kinda overwhelming to go into on this little post.
But, if you want to start reducing your chemical intake within your home, for the health of your family…
Here are 5 great websites to start you off in researching and reducing your chemicals…
