How does your stove top look? Is it clean and in good working order?
Or is it dirty, full of grease and grime?
Your stove and oven traditionally held a powerful spot in the Feng Shui of your home.
Many years ago, maybe a centuries or more, having a stove in your home in China was a reflection of your status and wealth, as you had to be wealthy to own a stove within your home. Therefore the Stove then became the symbolic reflection of wealth in Feng Shui.
There are some schools of Feng Shui that still carry on with this tradition of the stove equalling your wealth and therefore provide information regarding stove placement and it’s facing direction.
To an extent the theory behind this belief can still have relevance though it does not take priority regarding wealth or generating wealth. For example it is recommended to rotate the use of hot plates regularly so that each earner within the home is provided with ongoing fuel to earn money for the family.
Most importantly your stove and oven is a place from which you nourish and nurture your family.
You use this appliance to cook and to bring nourishment to your food. The kitchen in a home is usually one of the most active rooms in a house and helps to bring the family unit together. And your stove is central to this.
The person who mostly cooks in the home will be the main person who influences the quality of food that nourishes your family. As not only does the stove and oven create the meals but the energy of the cook highly influences the energy that goes into the food.
Creating a kitchen which works well for the cook will benefit the whole family and enhance the energy of the cook whilst preparing your food.
And keeping the stove and oven clean will help with enhancing the quality of the food and can energetically stimulate the family’s potential to create wealth. A dirty stove top is like creating Sha Qi (negative energy) for your food.
Whilst keeping your stove and oven clean (using chemical free cleaning products) is the same as creating Sheng Qi (positive, nurturing energy) for your food.
