I know I know… another animal totem…. For some reason they just keep showing up for me and won’t leave me alone until I write about them soooo…I’m just going with it.
Day #121 (Sacred Space)
Ahhh can I just say I think I fell in love with Pelican from my childhood and that gorgeous Australian movie Storm Boy.
Hands up who cried for Mr Percival?
Pelican and I have passed each other many times, especially growing up and living on a lake, they become part of your ‘landscape family.’ – just made that analogy up, I like it.
Pelican is a pretty cool character and seems to cruise around without much stress.
Even when she’s hunting she seems relaxed as she guides her way to find her fish. She is reminding you that you have the ability to catch your fish, take your prize and reach your goal easily, especially as she has such a big bill to catch it.
And when she does, woah they are big catches.
And you know, you can do this too with little stress, if you are focused, relaxed and sure of your talents it will all just become a natural process.
Her large bill also indicates that there is an ability to hold a lot of information and integrate it easily and quickly for you at the moment. Take advantage of this opportunity and take in as much as you can to fill your belly and feed your family.
Pelican also loves family and friends and are very social creatures who hunt together and look out for opportunities together.
She comes to you at a time when you come into circle with those who can work together and collaborate.
Pelican is also a very strong reminder to have balance between thought and heart as she has both a relationship with water (the emotions) and flight or sky (thought). So always mix your intuition and guidance with practicality and balance your thoughts with regular checking in with your heart.
Mwah to Pelican… strong, chilled, dynamic and has that quirky little character of blue feet. Take them out and show us your quirks every now and then. xxx
