Day #109 (Detox)
What’s in the Box?
Ever wondered what these are? And whether they concern you?
They are called electrical transformers.
Basically they change the high voltage electricity into 240V for domestic use. ‘Woohoo’ I hear you say. ‘How fascinating!’ With maybe a hint of sarcasm.
You will generally see them dotted around built up areas in your community and especially in front of a complex e.g. a row of shops or offices.
In the city they can tend to be in quite close proximity to busy and accessible places, like malls, shops and generally where people hang out.
These transformers emit extremely high levels of EMF’s (electromagnetic radiation) though luckily this drops off within 3 to 4 metres distance away from the box.
Most of these types of transformer boxes are placed away from used areas though in the city or high built up places they can be in high traffic areas.
I have seen tables and chairs from cafes and restaurants placed right beside them, even butted up against them.
This is definitely not a healthy place for you to hang out.
And although long periods of time in high EMF is now considered a carcinogen. Short periods of time spent in extremely high levels can also not be very pleasant.
I know personally I feel a very heavy dragging feeling when I have spent time in these areas before.
Some people may feel dizzy, get headaches, feel a little brain fogged or depending on your sensitivity, can make you feel sick. (more about Electrical Hypersensitivity on another post).
So when you are out and about and want a bite to eat at a street cafe or just sitting on a bench in a mall, try and steer clear of the transformer box.
P.S. If you loved this post so much you can’t get it out of your head and you can’t be arsed to tell someone the whole story, then share with your friends via Facebook, Twitter or any other lovely social media site.
But oh, if your fingers want to do the talking then chat away my Feng Shui Gal and talk all you want in the comments below.
