What are Mandalas?
Day #107 (Sacred Space)
As some of you may have noticed, I love creating healing mandalas.
They are, in fact, a sacred space all of their own.
Mandalas have been used for centuries and for many different purposes and occasions.
The best thing with mandalas is that you can create them using anything that you wish. Crystals, sand, bark of trees, feathers, flowers, salt, rocks, stones, branches etc And they have multi-level functions too. Drawing, sand, paint and any other medium you can think of.
They are a reflection, in physical form of you, of the energy you wish to create, and of the Universal energy. All combined, all one.
When you create a sacred mandala is becomes an expression of yourself and your ideas manifested, it assists in holding the space of your intentions, has the ability to vibrate it’s resonance through the Universe and also has a life all of its own – its own representation of ‘All That Is’. A blessing.
Mandalas can exist for a mere second to a lifetime.
Some can be naturally created like the centre of a sunflower and others human created like in the pic, and if you believe in the theory of crop circles, some may even be made by aliens. – now that’s a theory!
The pure creation and the dismantle of a mandala can be used as a meditation tool, a tool for psychology work, healing for yourself, others or the land and can be used for protection.
They also have the ability to help you find answers, they can send you messages and when you create them you follow the energy, you get to listen to the energy and the mandala; and follow its lead. Learning as you go, unravelling the message but forming the symbolic answer and manifesting it into form.
Oh did I mention I love creating mandalas?
