Day #104 (General + Detox + Sacred Space)
The Paperbark Tree or Tea Tree.
If you don’t know already, I have a thing for trees.
And the Paperbark Tree is one of my favourites.
I was at the park with my boys on the weekend and these trees just kept calling me. I needed to take a photo of them and to talk about them, but wasn’t quite sure what or when. But here they are today. I find these trees deeply magical and knowledgeable.
They feel like Mother trees as they nurture, heal and care for so many aspects of living.
The ability of healing these trees hold; is amazing.
When used as Tea Tree oil, it has antibacterial, anti fungal, antimicrobial, anti parasitic, expectorant properties and much more. It is my go-to oil to burn when there is sickness in the home or when I need to disinfectant a surface area.
If you are wanting to find out more about how to practically use this oil check out Thursday Plantation website – good Aussie Tea Tree brand.
This tree has also been used for centuries by Australian Aboriginals to help cook food, keep warm, heal when sick and used in ceremony and art.
Though its also the essence of this tree that is really asking to be told here.
Asking me to sit with the knowledge and express it to you.
When I sit with her she shows me her bark. So tactile, soft, delicate though strong. Always takes me back to childhood.
She then shows me what she would look like if her layers of bark is purposefully ripped off.
She looks raw and bare and the bark hasn’t had time to mature into this new exposed state.
She is telling you to slow down, that the layers will shed naturally and when it’s time.
If you want to get to the core without seeing the layers as they are, you will miss the process and end up exposed, raw and over sensitive to the external influences.
She asks you to caress and touch the layers of you now. That there is nothing wrong with where you are, there is beauty and grace in your present you.
Be patient, enjoy the ride, there are plenty more layers, experiences to be had. All in good time.
She has more messages but for now this is what she wants you to hear.
Geez I love Mother Paperbark Tree.
P.S. Please share it on your Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site just for the LOVE of it.
