Day #133 (Colour Your World)
Red is the colour that represents the Base or Root Chakra. It helps to connect you to your tribe, family and peers. It is ancient and deep and holds the knowledge of past generations.
Red is active yet grounding and fills your belly with fire and desire. It gives you that spark, the twinkle in the eye and the drive to keep you motivated to reach your goals.
Red ignites your passion and energises your body and mind.
Red brings forth courage, deliberation and concentration.
Red has the slowest vibration rate of the spectrum and therefore used in many grounding practices.
It represents the Fire Element which expresses itself with a warm and open heart, is able to decipher what is healthy and unhealthy and provides the ability to transform. Every transformation requires Fire and heat to eradicate what is no longer needed to move forward.
Red is great for…
Many ill people as they usually need this basic, hot energy.
Circulation and warmth – wearing red socks and gloves is great for people with cold hands and feet
Raises the heart rate and stimulates the adrenals.
Great for people with depression as it is so revitalising.
Sluggish conditions and stiff joints.
Do not use when…
Too much anger or you have a tendency to violence.
Hardening of the arteries
A tendency to nervousness.
Overwhelmed or overstimulated.
Red is a very special colour in Feng Shui and most times people associate Feng Shui with the colour Red..
Red is the ONLY colour that has the ability to change or transform the energy of the Flying Stars (which are specific energy that is present in your home or business site).
What this means is that it can be used to enhance a good star or neutralise a challenging star. BUT it also has the ability to activate the sickness stars.
There fore it is really important to use red with caution especially in a home or business.
Large Red feature walls, large Red rugs or bedspreads can either help or hinder your space. It has the ability to affect your wealth, or health and relationships, reduce abundance or increase it, provide a calming relationship or increase arguments.
If you want to use large amounts of Red in your building, it is best to seek the advice of a professional Feng Shui consultant, specifically schooled in the Flying Stars. (hehum hand up, me).
The great thing you can do with Feng Shui is to experiment e.g. if you have been arguing with your partner or have had restless sleep and you also have a red bedspread or rug in your room. Move it, change it and see what happens. It may or may not be the cause but experimenting and seeing what works for you or not is very empowering and surprising!
Oh there is so much more I could write about this colour but I have to stop somewhere!
