Chinese Dragon Energy
Day #220 of #365 Days of Feng Shui
This little statue is my partners.
When I first met Harry and started living with him I really wanted to throw this Dragon in the bin.
I really didn’t like it.
At the time I wasn’t into Feng Shui and had just started formally studying Energetic Healing so didn’t really understand it’s symbology.
So to be honest, I saw this Dragon as a bit tacky. And wanted it gone.
Funny, because this repulsion with the energy of the Dragon really was more telling about me than it was about the Dragon.
Dragon energy is very Yang (male and active) and is a symbol of Power and has the potential to generate and acquire wealth and abundance.
At the time I wasn’t feeling very confident in myself, I was in a position of authority at work in which I had a few male workers who loved to undermine me and my position. They were totally trying to throw me off and suck my power and confidence.
At the time the Dragon subconsciously symbolised to me aggressive male dominance. And also reminded me how much I lacked personal power and confidence to overcome my situation.
My partner didn’t let me throw it away, he reminded me that the energy of the Dragon is ancient and holds much power. Plus he thought it would be disrespectful and totally bad luck.
And it is only now that I have begun to like him.
Only now that I am accepting his energy and know that I have the ability to hold personal power and create abundance.
It’s been a bit of a journey with this Dragon and I, but he now has his own space on our much loved bookshelf in our abundant and success sector.
And every now and then we say hello and I honour his message.
