Your Spiritual Teachers come in all different shapes and sizes.
Every person you encounter, is one of your teachers.
Though usually your greatest teachers are those that challenge you and push all the right buttons in order to reveal our hurts, wounds, negative patterns and insecurities.
If you could be your own Guardian Angel for a day and, for example, you knew one lesson you needed to learn was ‘patience’, who would you send in order for you to learn that lesson?
Would you send a person who was efficient, quick and on the ball?
Would you send someone who was slow, took their time, held up jobs and fiddled around?
Who would you best learn from?
Of course, the person that would make you wait!
When you start to become aware of the patterns you hold and when they come to the surface when your interacting with certain people, you are able to start to understand yourself better and how best to shift your awareness from frustration to gratitude …
Having gratitude for your teachers is one of the ways you can start to shift your perspective.
To release your challenging patterns and open into Love for yourself and for your teachers.
So I decided to write one of my teachers a letter.
Thank you for being in my life, for showing up at just the right time in order for me to see myself clearly.
Thank you for reminding me that I am powerful and that I do not need to have your approval in order to blossom and flourish. I am strong within myself and can do this on my own.
Thank you for reinforcing the value of being true to me and knowing that with every word I speak, I speak with truth and authenticity. For I know now that if I do not do this, my message will confuse and disconnect others.
Thank you for reminding me that I am an intelligent and creative person who has unique skills and essence and can create my own world of love and abundance.
Thank you for encouraging me to speak with gentleness and come from a place of compassion and understanding for I know that my word has meaning and strength.
Thank you for reminding me that we all make mistakes and the mistakes I have made can be healed and that I will not hold you to your’s.
Thank you for reminding me to be myself no matter who I am with. I will continue to share my ideas, to connect to others and to involve people.
Thank you for being there when I thought I could not keep going, you showed me the strength within myself, the awesomeness that I am and the beauty I hold.
from your student and your teacher,
Who is your greatest teacher currently?
What would you write in your letter to your teacher?
