2015 Year of the Wood Goat
Cohesion is the foundation energy for 2015.
It supports you to gather all your ideas and resources in order for you to manifest them into reality.
And this is represented by the Goat. Goat is an Earth element which brings solid foundations and connection.
It means it’s a great time to collaborate, to use all your life skills and passions into the one business idea or endeavour. And asks you to use the whole of you.
What’s more…the Earth element brings people together, brings a certain loyalty and cohesion of people, of their tastes, loves and passions together. The Goat is a very caring and nurturing energy and assists in creating relaxed and sociable circumstances.
And that means it’s time to truly build and connect with your tribe.
And it’s a time to bring people together for a greater purpose.
The Earth element is also compassionate, stable, centred and grounded and provides you with the opportunity to digest information in order to transform it and manifest it into physical form.
Fortunately, 2015 will also support you to gain clarity with the ability to better concentrate and become focused.
With the Earth element being the theme or foundations for the year, the Wood element represents what is going to be shown on the surface.
The Wood Element is all about big ideas, lots of vision and prospective opportunities.
But make sure you write your ideas down! Because you may have lots of them.
Though what Goat is asking you to do is sit with them. Don’t try and do every single idea that pops into your head because you will exhaust your Earth element. Then…poor tired Goat. Ground those ideas, bring them down to earth and feel into them.
And see if they still resonate.
Then if they do…action them.
Unrealised ideas and dreams are draining for you. And will put a strain on your Goat.
2015 is also beckoning you to move your body and this will keep you in flow with your ideas and moving forward with new opportunities.
But remember not to over do it. The Wood element also needs rest.
The Wood element is related to the Liver and Gallbladder and loves to bend and stretch, which will nurture your energy this year. If you decide to stay sedentary it may bring about feelings of frustration, anger and agitation.
Simply put…Its time to move your body and bring back some balance and movement.
Wood element will also assist you in being more creative, assertive and someone who seeks challenges. You may also love to learn more abstractly this year and show initiative, feel energetic and be bold!
And the Earth element (Goat) governs the digestion, stomach, spleen and pancreas so nurturing your inner Earth is essential. You may find yourself focusing more on what foods nurture you and where you need to improve your digestion.
Your immune function and health starts with the Earth element and this year it’s asking you to listen up and to nurture this aspect of you.
If you don’t have your health then how can you grow ideas and your vision in order to manifest your dreams?
This year may see you becoming more flexible and compromising regarding working out your work arounds. As 2015 is a Yin year, it means that your Wood element supports you in being more malleable, open in how you receive new ideas and more accepting of new routines.
It’s all about going with the flow rather than standing your ground.
In the forefront of 2015 you may want to ask yourself…
‘What is my vision?’
‘Am I living my vision?’
‘Am I moving in the direction of my vision?’
‘How can I bring in more compassion?’
‘How can I connect?’
And the deal breaker may be… Faith.
Faith that your dreams will manifest.
The Wood and Earth (Goat) element have a very intimate relationship as they respond to each other differently and this can play a role in 2015.
The Wood element if excessive (ideas, over exertion, toxic) can actually activate or attack the Earth (stability, digestive issues, worry).
And excessive Earth Element (Goat) may have your Liver feeling drained and not able to cope with the processing of your stuff emotionally and physically.
So it’s really important to balance the energy that may play out for you in 2015.
10 Ways to keep the balance for 2015…
1) Singing – strengthens and tonifies the Spleen.
2) Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates – Keeps the Wood flexible.
3) Speaking from the heart – provides a beautiful bridge between the Wood and Earth.
4) Dancing – Allows the Wood to move.
5) Sport – Allows the wood to move, though keep sport to moderate level as excessive sport can deplete the Spleen and most organs.
6) Eat warming and Earth element foods – pumpkin, sweet potato, carrots, turmeric (not raw foods) and nurture the earth element and stomach.
7) Deep breathing – will help keep all the energy flowing and help strengthen the Liver and Spleen Qi.
8) Going to bed before 10pm – will allow the Liver to process your emotions and energy intake of the day.
9) Keep hydrated – Water will feed the Wood and soak the dry Earth; nurtures both these elements.
10) Stop sitting on your bum in front of the computer – get up and move, stretch and keep that Liver Qi flowing for more ideas and motivation!!
Key Words to live by in 2015
According to Chinese Astrology and the Four Pillars of Destiny the Chinese (Solar) New Year starts on the 4th of February 2015.
This is when the Wood Goat makes it’s appearance.
(You may also see it written as the Green Goat, Wood/Green Sheep or Wood/Green Ram)
This is the date that Feng Shui consultants and, of course, Chinese Astrologers use for the cycle of the New Year.
And this year the New Year also falls on a full moon… so it may be a bit of a wild start to the new energy for 2015!
(Though many Chinese New Year celebrations are on the 1st New Moon of the New Year as this is regarded as a great time for new beginnings and is called the Lunar New Year. Which falls on the 19th February.)
